Mauls used at various times during my splitting maul phase (chronological order, L-R). The weight of the first three (red 12# and two 8# on either side) of it were good striking tools but were tiringfrom top to bottom. Although it departed from the handle length and weight combination I preferred, the Fire Hooks Unlimited model at the bottom was the last (and most functional) of the bunch.
