For striking the adze end of a Halligan bar, the rounded surface of a hand sledge (rock or blacksmith’s hammer) seems to get the best reviews. NOTE: For fire tool nerds out there, that’s a TICO titanium Halligan bar– a beautiful bar. But, that’s another story for later.
